Darul Uloom Academy offers educational programs for students in pre-K to third grade in an alternative religious environment.

Curriculum
Students are taught English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies as per the New York State Department of Education standards. Our textbooks comply with the current New York State curriculum, which is equivalent to material taught in public schools. The students are engaged learners participating in many hands-on activities, including computers programs.

Our curriculum also includes daily Qur'an, Arabic language, and Islamic Studies, each as a separate subject. The Islamic studies curriculum has been adopted from the popular South African "Tahseel" curriculum. Subjects include: Hadeeth, Fiqh, Aadaab, Taareekh / Seerah, and Aqaaid.

Recreational Activities
In addition to the academics, children enjoy hockey, basketball, badminton, and other sports during gym time. The staff also organize games and art activities with the classes.

Fun and educational field trips are planned throughout the school year. Other events include Eid parties, book fairs, and graduation and awards ceremonies.

Parents & Teachers
Parents who would like to be involved in the school can join our active PTA, in which parents and staff work together to make the school year beneficial and enjoyable.

The dedicated staff of Darul Uloom Academy believes that a parent-teacher partnership is the key to your child's success. At the end of each marking period, parents are invited to a parent-teacher conference. However, our staff encourages all parents to take an active part in their children's academic progress throughout the year.
